Victor Hovland continued his great end to the season by winning his first FedEx Cup championship by 5 strokes. After last weeks win, Hovland started 2nd in the field at -8, 2 shots behind Scottie Scheffler but coming into the last day Hovland had a 6 shot lead of Xander Schauffele. The final day was interrupted by bad weather but it failed to put off Hovland as he shot a brilliant 63 to win by 5.
Xander had done his best to put as much pressure on Hovland as possible bringing the gap down to just 3 with 6 holes to play but Hovland showed his talent as he finished with 3 birdies on the final 3 holes. Most of Hovland's hard work was done on the 3rd day when the pin positions were in some very tricky places and whilst the others struggled to make birdies Hovland just carried on as normal.
Winning the FedEx Cup comes with a massive $18 million dollars not bad for a 26 year old ay.....
